LAOS CYCLING ADVENTURE
7 days from Luang Prabang to Vientiane over mountain passes, along local Lao villages, amazing landscapes and the wonderful countryside. This is a classic style biking tour on sealed roads through Laos which is enormously rich in culture and great natural landscapes. Enjoy the stunning sceneries and meet the Lao people.
For the cyclist who prefer a combination of cycling and comfort, this is the best tour offered in Laos. Highlights of this tour include the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Luang Prabang, the breathtaking mountain views between Kiu Kacham and Vang Vieng and last but not least the amazing friendly people that you will meet, are sure to leave lasting impressions. This tour can be customized and extended.
Day 1: Luang Prabang
Arrival and briefing through our representative. A short orientation ride through Luang Prabang will show you a few highlights in the Luang Prabang UNESCO World Heritage town. (Depending on arrival time). Overnight in a comfortable guest house. Enjoy a welcome dinner in Luang Prabang.
Day 2: Luang Prabang – ride to Kuang Si Waterfalls 60 km
An easy ride to the scenic Kuang Si Waterfalls along ethnic villages such as Hmong and Khmu. Enjoy a swim in the clear water basins of the Kuang Si Waterfalls. Overnight in a comfortable guest house.
Day 3: Luang Prabang – transfer to Kiu Kacham – Kasi 95 Km
A 2 hours transfer by mini van brings you to Kiu Kacham on an altitude of 1350 meters. The first part of this stage, you cycle between 1000 and 1400 meters to Phou Khoun. After Phou Khoun a long descent with great views brings you to the valley of Kasi. Overnight in a guest house. 
Day 4: Kasi – Vang Vieng 58 km
Today your biking through amazing scenery and will go slowly into the lowland along rivers, limestone formations and caves. Vang Vieng is a touristy backpacker’s hangout located on a beautiful setting between steep limestone rock formations. Overnight in a resort along the Nam Song River.
Day 5: Vang Vieng – Ban Keune 55 km
Continuing on the main road, you cycle to the sea of Laos : the 250 square kilometer artificial Lake Nam Ngum. A 2 hours boat ride brings you to the dam, where are some great fish restaurants. After lunch, you continue on a quit back road through hidden small valleys and authentic villages. You stay overnight on the banks of the Nam Ngum River.
Day 6: Ban Keune – Vientiane 65 km
Today, you cycle through paddy fields with fine views in the Phou Khao Khouay mountain range,before entering the capital city of Laos: Vientiane. Along the suburbs, you cycle to the centre of the city, situated along the bank of the Mekong.
Day 7: Thank you for joining our cycling tour through Lao, after breakfast the program ends.
