Presence- I remain in the present moment, utilizing it to better my work, my surroundings and myself. I learn from mistakes of the past and dream of the future, but focus on what I can do NOW to make the difference.

Excitement- I have great enthusiasm for my work because it sprouts from my core values and beliefs. I share that excitement with all involved so everyone knows that they are part of the big picture.

Ownership- I own what I do. I am accountable for my results and I know that for things to change, first I must change.

Communication- I speak positively of my fellow team members, my clients and Open Leaf Excursions in both public and private. I speak with good purpose using empowering and positive conversation. I never use or listen to sarcasm or gossip. I acknowledge what is being said as true for the speaker at that moment and I take responsibility for responses to my communication. I always apologize for any upsets first and then look for a solution. I only ever discuss concerns in private with the person involved and I try to address everyone using their name.

Team Work- I am a team player and team leader. I do whatever it takes to stay together and achieve team goals. I focus on co-operation and always come to a resolution, not a compromise. I am flexible in my work and able to change if what I’m doing is not working. I ask for help if I need it and I am compassionate to others who ask me.

Success-I focus my thoughts, energies and attention on the successful outcome of whatever I am doing either in my personal or work life. At all times I display my inner pride, prosperity, competence and personal confidence. I am a successful person in thought, word and deed.

Balance-I have a balanced approach to life, remembering that my spiritual, social, physical and family aspects are just as important as my financial and intellectual. I express my needs in a positive manner and prioritize accordingly. I incorporate fun in all that I do so no aspect of my life cannibalizes another part.

Creativity- I am always looking for new and exciting things to do as well as how to make my current work more efficient and fun. I am open to creative suggestions from my team and am willing to try these suggestions utilizing a testing and measuring system to fairly assess their value.

Education-Life is a lesson and no one is ever done learning. I take pride in expanding my knowledge and am excited to share what I know with others. I am one of a team of educators and recognize that everyone has important perspective to share. My clients have the right to make their own intelligent decisions about their future. I can only impart practical and useable knowledge rather than theory and opinion.

Systems- I always look to the system for a solution. If a challenge arises I use a system correction before I look for a people correction. I use a system solution in my innovation rather than a people solution. I follow the system exactly until a new system is introduced. I work as a valuable teammate suggesting system improvements at the first opportunity.

Consistency- I am consistent in my actions so my clients and teammates can feel comfortable in dealing with me at all times. I am disciplined in my work so my results, growth and success are consistent.

Kindness – I recognize that my opinions, knowledge, and attitudes are all based on my life experience. I recognize that no one’s life experience is identical to mine and therefore others will have different opinions, knowledge and attitudes. In recognizing this fundamental difference between all human beings, I base all of my interactions in kindness. I consistently ask myself, “What would be the kind thing to do or say in this situation.” This kindness will saturate all aspects of my life making me a very valuable member of my team and of my society.
